Outreach Group’s Mission
The outreach and education working group’s mission is to get individuals and organizations involved in the occupy movement. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Spreading the word about Occupy SF events and actions
- Encouraging involvement in Occupy SF General Assembly, Working Groups, and Action Council

Facilitating and providing materials for community discussions, forums, and classes

Encouraging the formation of affinity groups and other occupy groups

Reaching out to understand and support community needs and concerns

Offering creative solutions to combat economic, environmental, and social injustice

•Action Council: An action oriented group that connects people and community groups with Occupy. Meets Sundays at 2pm at 215 Golden Gate Ave.
•Community Democracy Project: Putting people in charge of the Oakland city budget. Mondays at 7pm at 2141 Broadway (enter on 22nd). Email communitydemocracyproject@gmail.com.
•Environmental Justice Working Group: Connect the dots between the destruction of our planet and the rule of the 1%. Contact Ruthie at ruthiesakheim@gmail.com.
•Foreclosure and Eviction Fighter coalition meetings (Occupy Bernal, Occupy Noe, and ACCE) at 10am on Saturdays at 1717 17th Street in the Potrero neighborhood.
•Ideological Liberation Working Group: Creates beautiful propaganda for the Occupy movement. Meets Tuesdays at 7:30 pm at Occubucks, 27 Drumm Street, SF. Email susankgmiller@gmail.com.
•Occupy Forum: A place to discuss and learn about the burning issues that we face in and out of the Occupy Movement. Mondays at 6 pm. Check www.occupysf.org for location.
